Use Blue Kite before you have a website

Complete setup and prepare content while your website is being built.

Set up without a website

  1. Leave the website address blank

Open Business Profile → Your business. Leave Website URL empty and choose I do not have a website yet under What is your website built with?.

Add your real business name, type and base. See help with the business details. Do not use a placeholder website address.

  2. Add services, areas and a working contact option

Add your real services and any relevant service areas.

In Enquiries, choose phone or email when you do not have a contact page. Add the working contact details required by that choice.

  3. Review and save your profile

Finish the remaining sections, review your details, select the confirmation checkbox and choose Save Business Profile.

You can return to update the saved details later.

  4. Create your Strategy and Monthly SEO Plan

Answer the Strategy questions and select Create my Strategy when ready. Blue Kite can use your saved business details without checking a website.

Review the Strategy, then create your Monthly SEO Plan. Follow any setup or availability message shown.

  5. Prepare the work available in your plan

Open a plan task and follow its next action. Prepare supported page or article drafts, then review and edit them.

Find them later in Pages & Articles. Drafts remain separate from public content until you publish them.

When your website is ready

Add its real address to your Business Profile. Follow any message asking you to check or update your Strategy after the change.

Connect WordPress, or use the publishing kit in your website editor. Check each saved draft before publishing it to the new website.

Blue Kite does not create or host a complete new website through these steps. You need a website and a working publishing route before content can go live.
