Choose your website design direction
Use a captured website style or your saved brand settings as the starting point for new designs.
Choose your design direction
Open Settings → Website Appearance → Website design reference when this section is available.
Choose Use a website as inspiration under Design direction, or use the brand-only route in step 4.
Capture a website reference
Enter Design reference URL. This can be your own website or another website whose style you like.
Check the displayed remaining allowance and renewal date. Select Capture website style, or Refresh website reference when a reference already exists. An active eligible plan and remaining allowance are needed.
Capture runs in the background. You can continue setup and return to check the result. Requests use an allowance when analysis starts; an unreadable site that fails before analysis does not use a capture.
Review the saved style
Check the reference address, Last refreshed, saved fonts and colours. Open View captured appearance when available to inspect the examples.
Read any failed-capture or missing-image message and check your remaining allowance before refreshing. Check that the reference address is a public website. You can use the brand-settings route below if a reference cannot be captured. Existing drafts retain their saved design while you check or replace the reference.
Use brand settings when you prefer
Choose Start with my brand settings, then select Use my brand settings.
Set colours, fonts and spacing, choose saved images, then select Save website appearance. No website reference is needed for this route.
What does this change?
This selects inspiration for future designs. It does not change your business website address, connect WordPress or move the publishing destination. The Strategy website check is separate.
Existing drafts keep their design. Use a draft's design-change request for a different look, then review and publish deliberately.
