Connect your WordPress website

Install the connector, copy its token and connect the correct WordPress website.

You need a WordPress account that can install plugins and publish the content you want to send.

  1. Download the connector from Blue Kite

Open Settings → Website. Select Download Connector plugin and keep the downloaded ZIP file.

Save your Business Profile first if setup is not complete. For another website platform, use manual publishing.

  2. Install and activate it in WordPress

Open your WordPress dashboard. In Plugins, add a new plugin, then select Upload Plugin.

Choose the downloaded ZIP, select Install Now, then Activate Plugin. If you cannot install plugins, ask the person who manages your website.

  3. Generate a connection token

In WordPress, open Settings → Blue Kite SEO Connector. Select Generate connection token.

Copy the token when it appears. WordPress shows it only once. Keep it private. If you generate a replacement using Rotate connection token, reconnect Blue Kite with that new token.

  4. Connect the website in Blue Kite

Return to Settings → Website in Blue Kite. Enter the WordPress website URL and paste the Connector token.

Select Connect website and wait for the result.

  5. Check the connected address and permissions

Look for WordPress is connected. Confirm the website address and the Pages, Articles and Images permissions needed for your work.

Use connection help for a failed check or missing permission.

Connecting does not publish anything. Review and publish a draft when ready. The Strategy website check is a separate process.
