   Choose the article layout

   Select Change layout to open Article layout and backgrounds.

   Choose Classic broadsheet, Grounded feature or Executive brief from the options shown. This changes presentation, not the article's wording.

   SavedYour saved draft is ready to check in Desktop and Mobile preview.

   Choose backgrounds and check the saved result

   Set Hero background and Article background to an available White, Soft or Dark surface.

   Wait for the changes to save, select Done editing and check Desktop and Mobile. Review contrast, images and heading wraps.

If the control is missing

Check that you opened an article and turned on Edit preview. Controls depend on the saved format. Use the options that are present; use Ask AI for changes for a supported change that cannot be made directly.

The live article changes only after you publish the saved update.
