Update content that is already live

Edit a saved draft, then deliberately publish or record the live update.

  1. Open the published item

In Pages & Articles, find the item marked Published. Use View live page to check what is currently public.

Select Open draft to work on the saved content.

  2. Make the changes in the draft

Edit the text, change images or request AI changes.

Use the editing controls offered by that saved format. Updating the draft does not itself replace the live website content.

  3. Check the saved update

Wait for Saved, then review Desktop and Mobile.

Complete the before-publishing checks, including contact links, search details and any changed claims.

  4. Deliberately publish or record the update

Open Publish and follow the available update route for this item.

For WordPress, review the existing-item update. For a manual website update, make the change in your website editor and record the public URL.

Check the public result

Open the real URL and confirm the update, images and enquiry action. Updating an existing website page can have different controls from publishing a new URL; follow the route shown rather than creating a duplicate page.
