Remove a page and send visitors to its replacement
Move one checked WordPress page to Trash and redirect its old address to a published replacement.
Enter the old page and its replacement
Open Monthly SEO Plan → Your requested WordPress changes. Under Move a page to Trash and redirect its URL, enter:
- Page to move to Trash: the exact public page to retire.
- Page its URL should redirect to: the published replacement.
Select Check this change. Both addresses and the exact WordPress page are checked before approval.
Check and approve the live effect
Under Requested tasks, check the matched page, Move to Trash address and Permanent redirect destination.
Select the confirmation, then Approve and apply. The source page moves to Trash; its old URL sends visitors to the replacement with a permanent redirect. The destination stays published.
A menu warning means those links will still pass through the redirect. Changing a menu link is a separate action.
Test the old address
Wait for Completed on WordPress, then open the old URL and confirm it reaches the intended replacement.
If Check the WordPress result appears, use it to finish checking the existing operation. Contact support for a support-review message.
Undo from the same task when needed
Open Undo this change, read the confirmation and select Restore previous state.
This restores the WordPress page and removes this connector redirect. Wait for the result and check both URLs again.
