Check your content before publishing

Check your saved content, links, images and publishing destination.

  1. Read the complete saved draft

Find and open the content. Check the business name, services, coverage, prices, claims and customer reviews.

Correct lasting facts in Business Profile, and edit the draft where needed.

  2. Check images and the enquiry route

Check that images and their descriptions are accurate and suitable.

Check the saved phone number, email address and contact or booking destination. For a WordPress form, check that the form and shortcode are configured.

Test the working enquiry route on the public website after publishing; the Blue Kite preview may not run the live form or link.

  3. Review the Google search preview

Open How it looks on Google. Check Meta title, Meta description and Page URL or Existing page URL.

If you change these fields, select Save search preview. This saves the draft’s search details; it does not update your live website. Publish the reviewed update separately.

Do not change a live URL without understanding the publishing or redirect process.

  4. Resolve review notices and check both sizes

Read any Check these points before publishing notice. Correct or confirm the business-specific details it identifies.

Check Desktop and Mobile, finish editing and wait for saving. A preparation notice can require a separate recovery action; see Drafts needing attention.

Publish when ready

Draft review, owner approval and public publishing are separate actions. Check the actual public URL afterward.
