Check or reconnect WordPress

Check the connector, repair access or disconnect the selected WordPress website.

  1. Check the selected website

Open Settings → Website for the business you are working on.

Check the connected address, Connector version, Last checked and the Pages, Articles and Images permissions. Select Check connector and read the returned message.

  2. Repair a failed connection

Check that the connector is active in WordPress and the website address is correct. Follow any permission or plugin-update message.

If a fresh token is needed, open Settings → Blue Kite SEO Connector in WordPress and select Rotate connection token. Then reconnect with the new token in Blue Kite. Rotating invalidates the previous token.

After updating the plugin, select Check connector again to refresh its available features.

  3. Disconnect only when you intend to stop this connection

Select Disconnect WordPress, check the named website and select Yes, disconnect WordPress. Choose Keep connected to cancel.

Your Blue Kite drafts remain saved. Reconnect before sending more work to WordPress.

  4. Review dependencies before removing the WordPress plugin

Disconnecting Blue Kite leaves the plugin and its WordPress settings in place.

Before deactivating or deleting the plugin, open its WordPress settings and select Download handover inventory. Ask your website manager to move any required redirects, search settings and page styling to a maintained replacement. Removing the plugin stops those connector-managed features.

A publishing result is uncertain?

Open the matching draft and use Check if it is live now when offered. A connection check and a publication-status check answer different questions. Contact support if a message asks for a support review.
