Keep a page public but remove it from search results

Request a supported WordPress noindex change while keeping the page open to direct visitors.

  1. Enter the exact public page

Open Monthly SEO Plan → Your requested WordPress changes.

Under Keep a page public, but remove it from search results, enter Page to make noindex. Select Check this noindex change.

  2. Review the matched page and approve

Under Search appearance tasks, check the public page and requested change.

The change tells search engines not to index the page and removes it from supported sitemaps. Direct visitors can still open it, and menu links remain.

Select the confirmation, then Approve and apply. Follow any unsupported-SEO-plugin or permission message instead of assuming the change succeeded.

  3. Check the WordPress result

Wait for Completed on WordPress and read the result. Use Check the WordPress result if offered.

Search engines process changes later; the WordPress result does not mean the page has already disappeared from every search result.

  4. Restore the previous setting when needed

Open Undo this change, confirm and select Restore previous state. Wait for Restored on WordPress and check the result.

Different goal?

To take a page offline and send visitors elsewhere, use page removal and redirect. To change only the title or description, use search wording help. An AI-planned task has its own review and approval route.
