1. Cancelling your subscription
Cancelling your monthly subscription does not immediately delete your Blue Kite SEO account.
If you cancel:
- future automatic renewal is stopped;
- your paid access continues until the end of your current billing period; and
- your account and content remain available during that period.
If you simply want to stop your next subscription payment while keeping access for the time you have already paid for, cancel your subscription rather than deleting your account.
2. Permanently deleting your account
Permanent account deletion is different.
When you permanently delete your Blue Kite SEO account:
- access ends immediately;
- any active recurring subscription is cancelled;
- your account is removed from active Blue Kite SEO systems; and
- the deletion cannot normally be reversed.
Permanent deletion does not automatically provide a refund for unused time in a trial or billing period.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
3. What is removed
Permanent deletion removes your active Blue Kite SEO account and associated product information, including your:
- Business Profile;
- Strategy Intake information;
- SEO Strategies and Strategy history;
- Monthly Plans and planning history;
- stored website-analysis and website-review information associated with your account;
- existing-page and article review records;
- generated pages and articles;
- revisions and related generation history;
- uploaded Blue Kite SEO media;
- WordPress connection information; and
- account authentication access.
Limited records may be retained where explained below or where required by law.
4. Content already published externally
Deleting your Blue Kite SEO account does not delete content that has already been sent to your WordPress website or another external website.
This can include:
- pages;
- articles;
- images; and
- other published material.
Once content has been sent to an external website, it is managed through that website and its hosting or publishing systems.
You or your website administrator must remove that material separately if you no longer want it online.
5. Protected backups and recovery safeguards
Account information is removed from active Blue Kite SEO systems when deletion is completed.
A temporary copy may remain in isolated protected backups for up to approximately 35 days before those backups expire.
Information in these backups is not available for normal account use.
If recovery systems need to be used, Blue Kite SEO maintains safeguards designed to prevent previously deleted accounts from returning to active use.
A limited non-content deletion safeguard may be retained for up to 90 days for this purpose.
The safeguard does not contain your active Business Profile, SEO Strategy, Monthly Plans or generated content.
6. Limited records that may remain
Blue Kite SEO may retain limited information after account deletion where reasonably required for:
- accounting;
- payment reconciliation;
- refunds or billing disputes;
- fraud and abuse prevention;
- evidence of consent or deletion;
- introductory-offer eligibility;
- security or legal investigations; or
- other legal obligations.
Limited billing, transaction, consent and deletion records may generally be retained for up to seven years.
They may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for an unresolved dispute, refund, fraud investigation, legal hold or other legal requirement.
A non-readable email fingerprint used only to enforce paid-trial eligibility may be retained for up to 12 months from trial redemption.
It then expires automatically.
The fingerprint does not contain your readable email, Business Profile, SEO Strategy, Monthly Plans, generated content or normal website-analysis information.
7. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law
Voluntarily deleting your account does not automatically create a pro-rata refund for unused trial or subscription time.
However, nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, refund right, remedy or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you have a billing or service issue that you want reviewed, we recommend contacting support before permanently deleting your account.
8. Before you delete
Before permanently deleting your account, make sure you understand that:
- access ends immediately;
- active Blue Kite SEO information and generated work will no longer be available through your account;
- your subscription will be cancelled;
- deletion cannot normally be reversed; and
- content already published to WordPress or another external website remains there until removed separately.
If you only want to stop future subscription renewals, use subscription cancellation instead.
