Manage a redirect for an old website address

Add, change or remove a WordPress connector redirect without moving a live page.

  1. Enter the old address and redirect action

Open Monthly SEO Plan → Your requested WordPress changes → Manage a redirect for an old URL.

Choose Add a redirect, Change its destination or Remove the redirect.

    • Old URL: the address visitors use. It must not already belong to a live WordPress page or article.
    • Current destination: required for changing or removing an existing connector redirect.
    • New published destination: required for adding or changing the redirect.

Select Check this redirect. This form does not move or delete a page.

  2. Check and approve the exact redirect

Under Standalone redirect tasks, check the old URL, action and destinations.

Select the confirmation, then Approve and apply. Adding or changing a redirect sends visitors to the checked destination with a permanent 301 redirect. Removal stops that connector redirect.

  3. Test the public address

Wait for Completed on WordPress. Open the old address and check the expected result. Use Check the WordPress result if offered.

If another redirect tool controls the URL, or the check reports a conflict, resolve it with your website manager or support before retrying.

  4. Restore the previous redirect state when needed

Open Undo this change, read the confirmation and select Restore previous state. Wait for verification and test the old URL again.
